About Me
- Name: Juergen
- Location: Hamburg, Germany
I was born in cologne and I am an account director in the advertising industry. I started in smaller agencies in Cologne. Several years later I moved to Hamburg and became responsible for the marketing of Eastpak. Nearly three years later, in 1999, I moved back into an agency: Jung von Matt. I did sales literature for BMW and later the worldwide launch campaign for the new MINI. Since 2002 I am working as a freelancer and helping agencies and brands. But I always dreamed of my own brand. Here you can watch how it develops and hopefully how it gets sucessful.

It looks nice, but...it also looks very childlike...the name has no connection to the juice...the competitors are using similar design...
No connection to the product - that's right. But that does not mean, that it's bad at all. There are lot's of products which brand name does not have a connection to the product. In some cases that can be very attractive and can cause aditional attention.
The Design works fine for me so far.
I consider, that you can get problems in brand-protection especially in Germany. The brand name is an all-day-use-phrase. But ask your Lawyer in this case.
Good luck for now!

I like the simplicity and the friendlyness of "Hello". And I don't think, that a connection between juice and name is a must. I mean - Fanta is not a fruit, but it's definitely a good name, maybe because it leaves room for associations ("fantastic").
So why not "Hello"?
What I think of is a name that has some regional relation. The Smoothie comes from Hamburg. And the Hamburgian style of saying "hello" is "moin". I think, this could be nice as a name for the smoothie, as it sounds smooth and a bit weird and funny. And: I think, everybody in the world can say it.
I don´t like "hello" but "moin" is a good idea!
Is the Name Competition now over? I dont understand it.

No, contest is not over. I just had an idea myself that I wanted to share...
question for the design part: will the best entry win the prize or only if you choose a design for your product?
If there is a best entry, I am going to take it for the final design. If I do not have a favorite among all entries and I need to develop something on my own there won´t be a prize. So do not spend too much effort in it, just send in some first rough ideas and discuss them with me...
Wow, many names! There is no favourite? You are a hard nut to crack :-))
The design should differentiate from the competitors. They using "comic" design for their products.
It is good to be a "hard nut" because you can´t change the name later!
"hello" is not a very good name for this brand. If you stay with your idea to have a link between the product and the name "hello" does not work. If you break up with your original intention there are better names than "hello". That is what I think. Think about the sound if someone orders a drink: "Hello, two `hello`lemon something please and one `hello`with strawberry" - awful... there has to be something better! stay tryin`
Do you allready received a design which you like? How many designs you received yet? Please hurry with your smoothie, I like to taste it!!
I received some designs, but nothing that was so good to show yet. But I really appreciate it, that people spend their time! Thanks for your support...
The overall look is quite interesting - but I second that opinion with the "childishness". To go for different colors with the different fruits is a good choice.
The name "Hello" is not the "buzz".
I read this blog and now I want to taste a smoothie. Would you give me one of your recipes? In common I am very lazy person but I want to try it! If i like it I order something in advance!
sure, just send me an eMail, tell me which one you would like and then I am going to forward you my recipe. In the near future I am going to post them here...
Looks too much like "FruchtBar" and is not sooo stylish. Misses the "buy-me" effect.
The name seems to be interchangeable, suits better to a newspaper imho.
